St George's Newsletter, February 6th

Weekly Newsletter

A Note from Rev. Ben

Dear St. George's,

It's hard to believe that February is already upon us! One thing I especially enjoyed about this past month (besides Rev. Heather's return!) was the chance to do several Epiphany house blessings. It's always special to be welcomed into parishioners' homes! And I think the house blessing liturgy is such a good reminder that God isn't just present in church on Sunday mornings but is with us and extending his grace to us everywhere and at every time. If you'd still like to have your house blessed, feel free to send me an email at b.crosby@st-georgeschurch.org. And most importantly, I pray that you know and experience God's presence and love this week and always.

Yours in Christ,Ben

Vestry Nominations

Nominations: We are seeking nominations for the Vestry's electable offices! If you are interested in putting a name forward, please see the greeters for a nomination form or contact the office. All nominations must be submitted by Sunday, February 15th.

AGM Schedule

Please mark your calendars for two important upcoming dates! Our Pre-Vestry Meeting, which will take place on Sunday, February 15th and our Annual General Meeting which will be the following Sunday, February 22nd. Both meetings will take place following the 10:30 service.

First time at St Georges during an AGM? Be sure to attend the pre-vestry meeting on the 15th for the opportunity to learn about and discuss the motions that will be voted on at the Annual General Meeting. All are welcome regardless of how long you've been a parishioner with us. Been a regular attendee at St. George's for a year (or more!) ? That gives you the right to vote! We hope you will come make your voice heard and help shape the future of our Parish!

AGM Summaries due Monday!

It's that time of year again! If you head up one of our ministry teams, we are looking for a summary of your work over the past year to include in our AGM circular. Please write up your report and send it to the office by THIS MONDAY, February 9th!

Thank you to all of you who have already submitted your summary!
