Love from the Cradle to the Cross, Edie Mae Herrel, based on Romans 8:26-39
A Note from Rev'd Ben
Dear St. George's,
This coming Sunday, we will read one of my most favourite passages in Scripture: the end of Romans 8. We've been reading from Romans as our Epistle reading since the Second Sunday After Pentecost. Paul has taken us from a discussion of sin to an exposition of justification by faith alone (that it is by our faith, not by our works, that we are acceptable in God's sight). Then he began a long treatment of what the Christian life looks like, how we are transformed by the Spirit dwelling in us. And today Paul reminds us that we can rest secure in the power and love of our God. God has demonstrated his love for us in Christ Jesus -- and, Paul asks, "If God is for us, who is against us?" In fact, since God is for us there is nothing -- "neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers," and so on -- that can separate us from God's love. I hope that this week and always you can take comfort in this good news.

St. George’s hopes to host a Christmas Market this year, from October to December.
This festive community initiative will help raise funds to support the church, its ongoing restoration project, and other activities. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help bring this festive community project to life.

Thank You Malou!
The fabulous Malou's last Sunday with us will be this coming Sunday, July 26th. Our longest serving verger, Malou has become an integral part of our both our employee team at St. George's and our worship community. While we will miss her dearly, the move is an exciting one, as she is leaving Montreal to pursue further studies! We invite you to come celebrate her with us this Sunday during coffee hour and to pray for her as she moves on to this wonderful next chapter.

Hello all,
I hope everyone is doing well. As we are developing more activities, and opportunities for collaboration with St. George’s, like the garden project and the Brigades, I will be making myself available every other Wednesday from 2-3pm for “drop-in” office hours. Feel free to come share ideas and ask questions in the St. Micheal’s Mission Admin office. This will be starting next Wednesday the 29th of July, and I look forward to getting more familiar with the faces of the St. George’s community. If ever you have questions and can’t make it on one the Wednesday office hour sessions, you can also email me: Emma Campbell: ecampbell@stmichaelsmission.ca
If you can provide donations in the coming weeks, we have the following needs for our community:
