Burst into Spring Update

Burst Into Spring Update

Greetings from the Stewardship Committee!

We are now over a month into our Burst into Spring Campaign, and we are seeing progress! When we gave our previous update from April 7, at that point we had raised $2,550 in cash and cheques, and 13 people had donated. Now, as of April 24, we can report that we have raised $3,925.12, with 23 people contributing to our cause. This updated total includes all donations made via cash, cheque, and CanadaHelps. Many thanks to all who have donated thus far!

This is a nice improvement, but we are still a long way to go towards reaching our goal of $10,000. In addition to our monetary goal, we also have a participation goal of over 50 people contributing to this campaign. This would represent half of our congregation.

If you haven’t yet donated, please consider doing so by cash, cheque, or on
CanadaHelps. We have until Pentecost Sunday May 24 to achieve our goals of $10,000 and 50 participants. Please remember to mark your donation with the words “Burst into Spring” so ensure that the funds go to the right place.

Yours sincerely,

The Stewardship Committee

Weekly Newsletter May 22nd, 2026 Descent of the Holy Spirit, Date:1153, Artist: Anonymous A Note from Rev'd Heather Dear St George’s, On Sunday we will celebrate Pentecost together. We celebrate this important feast of the church every year - long ago - we celebrated Pentacost for an entire Octave but today it marks the end of the Eastertide and the beginning of the largest season of the year - “Ordinary Time” or as the Godly Play folks affectionately and propetically call it, “The Green...
